The Broadway Artists Connection (BAC) is seeking a Producing Director for the 2015 NYC season. BAC is a nonprofit that brings together Broadway Artists & enthusiasts to create, connect and give back to their communities. Since 2008, BAC has produced 8 shows that have featured over 75 Broadway performers, dozens of aspiring artists, raised thousands of dollars for charity and made numerous industry connections for individual artists. BAC is now positioned to take on a full season in NYC while expanding into other markets.
The ideal person for this position is motivated to help others, understanding that giving back is the foundation to moving forward. This person should be based out of NYC, well connected and respected among the Broadway Community, familiar with the BAC culture and have some experience producing and/or directing. Must be motivated & trust worthy and love musical theatre.
The responsibilities include:
- producing 3-4 open mic nights in NYC
- producing 1 charity fundraiser
- securing a season sponsor (with help of our board)
- maintaining some social media on BAC facebook, blog, and website
- managing our event budget
- work with our board who are there to help
Compensation/Perks:
- a stipend range of $100-$300 per event (we are non-profit)
- a press release about you to our 300 person email list and posted on our fb fan page of 1,800 followers
- part-time hours that you can manage – work from home (except on event nights) & ability to select event nights to work within your schedule (along with our board)
- visibility & connections in the industry that can enhance your other artistic, and/or producing ambitions
- the joy of giving back and making a difference to our communities
