Hosted by Broadway’s Bronson Norris Murphy (PHANTOM OF THE OPERA), and kicked off by eight outstanding Broadway pros, the BAC CABARET BENEFIT will also feature eight selected aspiring artists who will sing for a panel of influential industry Casting/Agency Directors for feeback/mentorship. One will be crowned “the future of Broadway.” All funds will benefit the Matsiko World Orphan Choir bringing education and theater programs to impoverished nations. Performers and audience will be treated to an up close view of artists newest works, highlight videos from our trip to Liberia, mingle time to make invaluable industry connections, and a raffle for signed Broadway show posters to benefit the Matsiko World Orphan Choir. The evening will be kicked off by a stellar lineup of Broadway pros, followed by selected artists at the legendary Laurie Beechman Theatre. Guest Casting Director Tara Rubin (over 50 Broadway shows) & Aaron Sanko (Managing Director of UIA Talent Agency) will be offering feedback and one artist will be crowned the “future of Broadway.”

Hosted by Broadway’s Bradley Gibson (Simba in LION KING), and kicked off by eight outstanding Broadway pros, the BAC ALL STARS BENEFIT will also feature eight chosen aspiring artists who will sing for a NYC casting director. Two will be crowned the “Future of Broadway.” This 90 minute show followed by 30 mins of mingling will raise funds for the “Broadway to Africa to fight poverty” project bringing the first theater program to the country & raising awareness to their community through a documentary film. BAC is thrilled to announce that founder Tamlyn Brooke Shusterman along with a team of Broadway and NYC professional artists will be going to Liberia West Africa to set up the first Theater ever in the struggling country and put on The Wiz with youth from the World Orphan Choir. To follow our journey of bringing the hope and joy of theater to those with so little and to make a donation, please follow us on facebook & our blog. A Casting Director will crown one of our aspiring artists the “Future of Broadway.” Funds raised will support the Broadway to Africa project where some of our artists will be mounting the first musical ever in the country of Liberia, West Africa in collaboration with the International Children’s Network and World Orphan Choir.

ALL NEW CABARET WORKSHOP w/ Broadway’s Ellyn Marie Marsh: Ellyn is currently in the cast of the new Broadway Bound musical PRETTY WOMAN. Previous Broadway shows include KINKY BOOTS, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESSERT, ENRON. Ellyn coaches young hopefuls and will also be attending the April 22nd BAC Open Mic! Accompaniment provided by world reknown musical director & coach Michael Lavine. Bring your cabaret song and get to perform for Ellyn and receive individual feedback. Members create socially relevant original plays while learning vital life skills such as self expression, educational discipline, social consciousness, leadership and responsibility to self and others. This award winning nonprofit is changing lives through the power of drama. Proceeds from the event & auction will go directly to CAT.

Hosted at Nuyorican Poet’s Cafe (236 E 3rd St) seating only one hundred audience members, patrons will be able to mingle with artists, have a close up view of their best works & be treated to a performance by the CAT Youth Theatre.
